Our story began like many modern day romances -- online! Anthony and I (Nils) met through match.com in February 2011. Our first date was supposed to be just a casual coffee date. However, it ended up lasting all day. Once we started talking, we couldn’t stop! The connection was instant, and we bonded over how much we shared in common with one another. We both come from immigrant families, speak Spanish with fluency, have our masters degrees and have a general interest and curiosity for the arts. From that first moment on, a wonderful relationship began to develop.

In the summer of 2012, we got engaged at a summer camp in upstate New York where I (Nils) had been working. We have been married now for 8 incredible years and absolutely love doing life together! In our freetime, we love going on family bike rides and exploring parks in our neighborhood. kaia loves to read, draw and most recently has starting painting. We enjoy conversing about life and the world!

We complement each other so well. I (Anthony) am very steady, analytical and concrete. Nils is creative, intuitive and emotional. The balance of these traits has helped us in our marriage and has equipped us to be the best parents we can be.
